Picked up a G6 to play with last week, threw in one of those inexpensive Speedbooster clones (RJ Lens Turbo) and performed some admittedly unprofessional tests with the combo.
I have to admit, IMO for the price this really does deserve more attention than it has been given so far.
I see you took to heart the personal-view RJ thread ! What was your source for the RJ ? Their site, amazon, or ebay. If it was not from their site, then it's probably 1st gen.

@M.Gilden - thanks for posting the Lens Turbo video. Looking forward to hearing how the G6 is working out for you. I purchased mine in Nov 2013, got the G6+updated kit lens for $499 on sale through B&H. I've been happy with it so far especially considering the price.
