Is anybody still working on a firmware hack?

lpowell does the new version of ptool already have all your patches in it or do they have to be added via the ini file?
The latest version 3.51d of PTool is required in order to install the complete set of patches in each the downloadable INI files I published here:

In general, you'll need to use PTool v3.51d to apply the patches contained in the INI files to the camera firmware you downloaded from Panasonic.

Please keep the political talk out of this thread. No politics here.

As well as being a useful reminder of "da rulez", that's also really good advice.

Whatever views you might have about the world, it's a fair bet that about half the population disagrees. A goodly proportion of those will likely find your views sufficiently obnoxious to prevent them from supporting any unrelated non-political activities you might be promoting.

Don't throw it all away at the last minute by dragging in The Great Pumpkin.

Acid is one hell of a drug!

Steadicam guys, steadicam... As you say, the two things are unrelated and noone is imposing political views, so why so uptight...

VK, I know it's impossible to know exactly what will be possible and when, but do you know at what kind of a timeframe we're looking at, roughly until you get the GH1 bodies, dump and move on to GH2 etc, 1 month? 2 months? 3 months? roughly...
thanks

Dumping of GH1 - as soon as body will be here.
GH2 dumping - as fast as we could do it.
I can't promise anything but I hope it'll be <1 month for both.

I just ordered a Panasonic gh1, I'm assuming it will be one of those "un-hackable" ones. Say Vitaliy manages to hack it (I have complete confidence that he will), will uploading the hack potentially jeopardize my warranty or even damage/ break the camera?

Sorry for asking, I always assume the worst when I'm ignorant about a certain things like (H)DSLRs.

Yes and no.

As far as warranty goes...all you have to do is reinstall the original firmware back into your cam before sending it in for service.
