Alex Leith said:I'm very sad we're going to end up with the same(?) crummy zoom speed that the DVX100A has. And I would have loved Panasonic to take a leaf out of the Sony Z1 and include programmable zooms.
It's there, you just had to go through a bunch of hoops (register for an account and go through some back pages) on his all-Japanese site to get to it.saru said:the much expected downloadable footage seems not to be available either.
Bill__Turner said:Properly designed and made tele converters should allow use of at least half the range of the camera's zoom. Century will be offering a 1.6 X similar to the one for the DVX100 and you should be able to zoom to close to 20mm (from the 55mm tele position) on the lens before vignetting begins.
We will offer a fisheye and .6x adapter along with the 1.6X Tele around the end of the year as the camera is introduced. The .75X wide converter is being developed specifically for this camera and will be available some time in the first quarter, but nearer the end, if no problem in the intial production occur.
These items are on display in the Panasonic Booth at InterBee and will be shown at DV Expo in LA as well.
