Inglorious Basterds !!!!!!!!!!!

[Richard J. Johnson]

I'm really not liking how this cast is shaping up--

agreed. I will see it regardless. He is usually on point with casting. we will see.

[J.R. Hudson]

A least he's casting a German actor for The Jew Hunter. I'm hoping he changes his mind about Brad Pitt as Aldo Raine...Especially if the name is a nod to Aldo Ray, who looks like this--

--and had a voice like gravel. Brad's not the first name that comes to mind when thinking of a hillbilly commando.

I think Pitt is very capable of being a great actor; but seems more interested in being a movie star these days

[Batutta]

I like Pitt as an actor, I just think he's wrong for the part.

[Blaine]

I agree with this. If he'd just pay more attention to his craft than his celebrity I think he'd be fine in the movie.

[Richard J. Johnson]

Pitt is a good actor and if QT thinks he would work I will trust him for now. I heard talk that he wanted Eddie Murphy to be in this as well. Now that would be interesting if it is true.

[Scott F]

Especially if the name is a nod to Aldo Ray.

Ha ha, good catch, I thought that name sounded familiar. He has been in several 70's exploitation movies....perhaps Tarrantino faves?

Aldo Ray has a great voice.

[Batutta]

Well, it's official on Pitt.

And some other interesting name's have come up. I like the idea of Simon Pegg. All I know is if they don't cast this girl as Shoshanna it will be a crime.

Tania Raymonde (Katz). She played Ben's daughter on Lost. She's Jewish, and is even fluent in French!

[Blaine]

She looks like a princess.

[J.R. Hudson]

Nice choice

I'm going with Eva

[J.R. Hudson]

An arty on my blog made Reueters

[Billy Pilgrim]

That would be great to see Simon Pegg in Bastards. It would also be great to see Michael Madsen team up with Tarantino again.

[Batutta]

It just gets worse and worse--

Has Tarartino evcer let us down on casting ? I can't think of one role that left me scratching my head.

Myers is a talent and I believe he can pull this off.

Well, he had the bad sense to cast himself multiple times.

[J.R. Hudson]

Heh heh

True true

Although I can't get enough of Jimmy.

"Dont ****ing Jimmy me Jules!"

[Batutta]

I guess I'm missing the cool factor with this cast. When I heard Pam Grier was going to be in Jackie Brown I thought, "cool". When I heard David Carradine was going to be in Kill Bill, I thought "hell yeah". When I heard Kurt Russell was going to be in Death Proof, I thought "kickass". So far this cast has me mostly scratching my head. Someone mentioned he'll probably cast Ricky Gervais as Hitler, and after Myers I think it's possible.

[Richard J. Johnson]

Mike Myers??!! QT better have some real powerful Sh!t up his sleeve. Batutta I agree with you. Besides Pitt I am really puzzled here. I like MM but after the Love Guru.....

[Jeremy Ordan]

Mike Myers was the only saving element in all of 54 so we know he can play straight and serious roles...

Using straight with Myers character in 54 is funny

[spidey]

myers has been funny since austin powers 1. since they he been a parody of a parody or a parody of a spin off.

[Tony D'Amato]

Am i the only one who hear Brad Pitts voice as Aldo when I read the script?? And am for Eva Green or Marion Cotillard as Shoshanna.
