indie snap! Matte Box Now Taking Orders


Gang, I can't stress enough how important it is I can contact you when you order - It's critical.

Sometimes folks use an old or dead email account for PayPal and that leaves me with no way to track you cats down. :(

Unfortunately, that means if I'm missing info an order will sit until I finally get an email asking "where is my matte box?"

How much are filters...Say i got the indie matt box, and i wanted to warm it up a little, how much would it cost for warm look filter?
 
an somebody explain to me what this actually does. I'm new to filmmaking and would love to understand the equipment side of things. Thanks and sorry if this is a newbie question.

Allows you to use physical filters. :)
 
Lets you use rotating filters, and blocks some sun from your camera which is supposed to increase contrast. Mostly makes it look cool. It certainly helps, but if you're new to filmmaking there are tons of better ways to spend your money.

Not to start a flame war or anything but, wasn't there a poster (the mods must have erased it) who stated that he had a few problems w/indiesnap.

He said that he never received his items, couldn't contact the company (no number or address for indiesnap) and just overall seemed pretty p.o.'ed with the overall experience.

Any thougts?
 
Wonder when anyone will make a reasonably priced matte box with filter holder for dvx100 being used with anamorphic adapter?
 
are you planning on making a rail system for this. I am a bit wary of the fact that, this is going to put too much weight on the lens. I understand it's lightweight, but it is till a concern.
