Importing P2 into FCP

We're having problems importing our P2 cards directly into FCP. We're running the latest version of FCP (6.0.2) and Leopard (also latest). We use a Mac PowerBook 1.67GHz, and put the P2 into an internal PCMCIA slot. Drive mounts up fine, but whenever we try to import it comes up with the message 'No data'. We've found a work-around, but could really do with the original process working for us.

Has anyone else come across this/found a solution?

Regards,

Do you have FX FActory installed? There is a bug with that that makes LOG and TRANSFER not work. And they released an update (2.02) that fixes that bug.

We are running 'Magic Bullet Looks' latest version, but not FX Factory. When we mount the P2 card on our laptop it appears on the desktop but not in the import menu in FCP, and when we try the Log and Transfer option we get the message "No Data".
The only way we have been able to get the information off the card is to convert the data through "P2 Log Pro" (which finds the imformation without a problem) and then import the converted .mov files into FCP.

What happens when you copy the NO NAME volume to the desktop and import from there?

Also, are you just selecting the name of the volume when log and transferring?

We've tried copying the NO NAME directory across, but no luck.

We're dragging and dropping the folder into the Log and Transfer window where they all appear as previews, but when dragged down into the capture window it spins for a while and then gives us the 'No Data' treatment again, which is odd as it clearly recognizes the card and the clips on it.

Anyone have any further ideas? At the moment we're having to consider sending the camera and cards back for service - not great when we're trying to shoot...
