import P2 - with filenames

Hope this is a simple question. How can I import p2 files from my camera and get the incremental names much like tape capturing does it?

Example: I have 20 files from a forum and want them named "forum01" through "forum20". Tape capturing will automatically increment the name/number for each subsequent clip. It appears that with import P2 I must manually name each clip before import.

Is there a way to do this using the built-in import utility? Thank you,

Oh geez, I feel stupid.

FCP. I am thinking of something like the log and capture util, it names each captured clip with a subsequent number. Can P2 import do that?

You can name the clips when you import them using the FCP 5.1.4 dialog box. Just use a copy paste and change the numbers incrementally.

Yes, that is what I was trying to avoid. When you have 90 something clips... even 10 - 20, it get's old. The capture utility did a nice job of naming them.

Do any of the third party import utils do this?
