I'm watching ....

It takes a real man to wear a pink thong and walk proud Blaine.

Boy that's a thread killer right there...huh?
:)

By the way - 16 candles and Breakfast Club are damn good movies.
No 'guilty' pleasure disclaimer needed in my opinion.

As far as Elizabethtown....well..you're on your own with that one.

Finally got around to seeing Rescue Dawn - absolutely riveting.

Can't say the same for The Island that I'm watching right now. Well-produced, and decent ideas...but loads of storyline inconsistencies.

Just re-watched Gladiator...

Sometimes I too dream of Elysium, but I guess the time has not yet come... not yet...

Well, it's not what I'm watching but what I need to watch. These are the movies I recently purchased but have yet to watch. Which should be first?

3:10 to Yuma (1957)
Cape Fear
the original
Duck, You Sucker
The Grapes of Wrath
Heaven's Gate
Running Man
Shaun of the Dead
Spartacus
To Kill a Mockingbird
Where Eagles Dare
You Only Live Twice
The Ninth Gate
Random Hearts
Superbad
The Bourne Ultimatum
Diamonds Are Forever
Gorky Park
Inherit the Wind
Jethro Tull: Live at Montreaux
Little Dieter Needs To Fly
A Night At the Opera
Rescue Dawn
The Russia House

I love the bargain bin...

Blaine, don't forget BETTER OFF DEAD and RED DAWN. :)

John, your 80's fest is giving me that nostalgic feelings. I don't know if it's just because I grew up on them, but they just don't make them the same way with the same innocence.

I supposed SUPERBAD will be for the 15 year-olds of today what 16 CANDLES was to me.

thanks John.

Like I told ya, Blaine...
You gotta see the raw energy of Mitchum in Cape Fear...
chilling stuff
(De Niro's incarnation in the remake just wasn't the same)

Where Eagles Dare

This movie sent me and my friend into fits of laughter. It's one of those films that's almost really good, but every now and then there will be a really cheesy music cue or ineptly staged piece of violence that's just hysterically awkward. The fact that the whole thing is played dead serious just makes it funnier. And I think Clint Eastwood single handedly kills about 200 people in this film.

automobile???????????????
:)

Can't believe one word could make me laugh so hard...here's two:

...girls underwear...

If you like Mitchum...couple of my faves that I just re-watched are "out of the past" and "his kind of woman"
