I wanted to test out my hard drive, the one that came with my laptop but I never used, it's a backup and when I went to put my old hard drive in, I put it in backwards!!!!

How can a person put in a hard drive backwards?

Because they're a MORON!

I told myself to step away from the laptop, that I was forbidden to think of myself as a Geek (a term I highly esteem) and that before I am allowed to download anything I have to back-up everything and I will need a written permission note from myself before I even go to Cnet.

I should be banned from Geekhood.

I once knew a highly-highly qualified PC tech who was prone to installing HDs upside down. Which actually isn't as creative, as backwards.

lol, don't feel soo bad, the GeekHood ban is usually a tempory thing, by next week GeekFlow would have moved else where..

Its pretty easy to do daft things, I remember once when I 'installed' my video card, spent hours trying the damn thing to detect (installing, uninstalling, rebooting a million times, patches, firmware updates, etc).

In the end turned out, I DIDN'T push video card in far enough! :embarasse d'oh

..
