Just curious? I am a big fan of Mac hardware, but for several reasons I built my company around a PC platform.

I am running Avid Media Composer 3.0 on a PC.


Who else is a PC.
 
I like the fact that PCs are extremely affordable, and have never been a Mac fan. If I were to ever move to FCP, I would of course have to get a Mac, but it is just a tool.
 
I am on PC, epecially now that 64bit Adobe CS4 hit. PCs are more affordable and now they can handle RED footage and MXF natively, work between the applications without rendering with a finally functional Adobe Bridge, manipulate imported 3D obj in After Effects, and Track using Planar Technology instead of point technology. Perty cool stuff!
 
I suspect Matt is actually on a Mac and that he makes it look like a PC as one of his illusions.
 
I have nothing against Macs and tried to get a MacBookPro this summer for field editing, but I run PCs at the office, and am quite happy with them.

The gap just isn't what it used to be, and frankly the platform war stuff is spitting in the wind. You can get real work done easily on either platform.
 
And you can build one yourself, or just upgrade the heck out of it whenever (and pretty much with whatever) you want.

For half the price...so you can run twice the software. Um...I guess math doesn't really come into play...

I'm a PC because it's all I've ever known and it's never done me wrong.
