I forked over 1000 big ones and fedex showed up today with my titianum Red thingy (Technical term)!!

Been looking at this thing for a while now, pondering it's true purpose. I suspect it is a key to Jannard's bedroom.

One can only imagine the electronics inside. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) .

That was just the ONE big one you put down, you still have another seventeen BIG ONES to find sometime between the new year and the spring of 2007:(

Plus lenses, matt box, poss shoulder mount or cage plus extra Red code discs and Red one bag to keep it all safe and protected from the elements.

But you know what........It will be an absolute bargain and you have from now till then to think, dream and ponder all the lovely things your going to do with that camera:)

If some one backs out you move up in place? How does that work? Well I guess its not a big deal. should get mine around the same time.

No disrespect intended. That how ever is a B.S. answer! Joind what? When You pay for your reservation, they send your titianium keepsake. it don't take months to get it. You don't make a resevation for a resevation. If you had got your keepsake today? I'm happy for you. I'm not upset over this. I just dont like being fed a line of B.S

You get the R when you fax in your signed agreement. If you're like me and take forever to fax it in, then you may receive your R after someone who joined (paid $1000) after you. I assume that's what happened. Don't know why you're assuming that Jay is making up stories.
 
Good answer Adaml, That makes good sense when you put it that way! Your right I signed and fax right away. I bet that is it! I stand corrected. My apologies to you Jay....It just sounded fishy ...I think I jumped the Gun on this one :)
 
Ha, I just got my R last week, and I placed the reservation in June. I think they are a little busy, and the R's are a little lower priority than getting 4K footage to IBC.
 
OK guys, I've just emailed my reservation form. I'm pretty excited. I opted out of the HVX and i'm kind of glad I did (because of timing issues) and now it means I can step up to the RED camera. Exciting times.

I would assume I'm going to end up somewhere in the 400's on order numbers.

Congratulations, You have every right to be excited. I think we all are. I bet half or more of all the resevation are here on DVX USER!
 
Thanks everybody. This should shape up to be a monumental year or so.

It's going to become more and more fun the closer we get.
 
no worries...just called RED headquarters...the person who handles the processing just got back into work today...we should be receiving an email sometime today on the confirmation...i would say your in that list...now if i can get my laptop to stop crashing :( i might be able to check email
 
If you're interested at all in having a RED One camera sometime in 2007, I think placing a RED reservation before IBC is a good choice. After IBC, and the unveiling of the 4k footage, I think that RED orders will double, then triple, then quadruple, and go up geometrically from there. Since they're delivered in order of reservation, the question is: How long do you want to wait for your camera? It's only $1k to reserve one, refundable at any time - not a gigantic risk, I'd say. You'll then have months to raise the remaining funds.

I won't be waiting long. I was one of the earliest ones to reserve a camera (#8).
