A short teaser for an upcomming project (about 20/25 min. long) called ICON.
It's about a war photographer, wasting his time in Paris during the winter of year 2003, and waiting for something big....
It's in french for the moment, and with a temporary music. An english version (language, no subtitles) is planned.

warning : no nudity but a little bit of violence.

Commentaries are welcome.

cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool , nice man real nice , i wanna see the movie , great images what program did u edit on ????, what u use for CC??? , and what was ur lighting set up ????

peace n luv

Mark Dog

Thanks Mark Dog. For the editing I'm using Premiere pro, and for the shooting, only the AGDVX100BE in video mode (not in 25p), squeeze of course and a microphone (XLR). We builted (??) our own dolly (40 euros) and used no extra lighting, only the sun, and the lights and candels inside Notre Dame. And of course, a touch of magic bullet. And Paris for free....well...we had to run sometimes, but, that's cinema !
The french name of our team means : "2 Cents movie". Low budget, but great movie (we hope).
Peace too and thanks again.

Looks great - wonderful editing job too. Can you tell me what Magic Bullet settings you used? Thanks.

Thanks mburgh for the editing. I used a filter called Berlin for inside Notre Dame. I put more blue in it, but the original view was very very orange and yellow (the candels and a white balance with a brown peace of paper). It's not only a question of filter, you also have to think of it during the shooting.
Thanks again

Thanks for letting me know. I balance with blue cards for overhead flourescent lights; alas, no Notre Dame in Fort Smith, AR.

Looking great! Very interesting. The only gripe I had was that the blood from the guy who got shot disappeared in mid air. other than that, loved it!

Thanks Lawsuit Boy, and I appreciate your comment about the blood. It's a very delicate SFX to do (not complicated at all), and I'm still working on it frame by frame, again and again. Reality is the key and I really want the audience to be shocked on a big screen.
And just for the "anecdote", it's me this poor guy. What a strange feeling to explode his own head frame by frame... Well, that's cinema ! And we had no other actor or extra at this moment, so...
Thanks again !

This looks great man. I love the cutting and the sound-design on the trailer. Very effective. I'm intrigued.

Good luck with this.

Thanks Dimeworth, and I hope the movie will also please you.
Maybe "soon in a festival near you!". We'll see.
Many thanks again.
