This is a screen grab from an actual .mov clip I have, and while not perfect I just like the look this lens creates compared to the kit lens.

So now I am really thinking about looking into vintage lenses as they seem to have character. The only problem though is I want a 24mm or a 20mm lens from Nikkon/Nikkor at f/2.0 as I really like this kind of lenses judging by the 28mm.

Getting a quality 20 mm f/2.0 will be expensive!

I've just bought a 20mm f/2.8 Zeiss Flektogon, £180 S/H.
Sigma do a 20mm f/1.8 but IIRC photozone found it was a bit dodgy, esp at full aperture.

The Flektogon has a nice long focus throw, but I'm not too sure about the Sigma, as it's autofocus.

24mm f2.8 manual nikon is a good inexpensive option and it's quality is better than the more expensive 24mm f2.

If you have the funds get the 20mm f2.8

Thanks, have you ever used the Nikkor 28mm f/2.0 ? That is the one I used and thought the image quality to be superb, almost like a dreamy effect. I will be on the look out for these lenses, but I need something in the 2.0 range and 2.8 while good it's still not f/2
