With the newest special on the HVX from Panasonic (free 8g p2 card and Barry's book) does anyone have an insight on whether or not Panasonic is performing some house cleaning before rolling out the possible 200A? :thumbup:

The question has been asked about seven hundred times though. And it's been answered about six hundred and eighty four times; it's only that last sixteen or so that have people throwing their hands up in frustration and bringing out the dead horse pictures.
 
Hadn't been on for a while and didn't thnk about the old search. A simple "check here" would have sufficed. But then...
 
Maybe it's time for a sticky saying that no one knows if and or when a new version will emerge.
 
A new version will appear the day after you buy yours. Now, can we just close threads like this?

I just love the dudes who say they won't buy one until there is a 2nd one... Genius thinking there and good financial sense.. Let me wait till the market is saturated and loose out on all of that gains in the time between... and all the glorious footie..

I like the dead horse photos... and such so we'll have to endure more of them I'm sure.. Personally I think Panny is going to release an HVX that cures cancer.. turns water in frosty guiness.. makes Rene' Zelwigger (sp) attractive to hetero guys.. now that's a feat, and maybe they'll do away with P2 and solid state so we can record on 3/4 umatic... That's making a come back.
 
There should be.

Panasonic knows when it will release a new HVX.

Its rep has stated here, no time soon.

The threads indicate that the giveaway is designed to discourage grey market sales.

As Ben says, "this isn't rocket science."
