First day of shooting with the HVX. Took it to some botanical gardens and grabbed a lot of flower shots with a few bits of wildlife here and there. I watched the raw footage off the P2 on a 54" rear projection HDTV and I am amazed at the detail and color. I then did a down-conversion to DVD and it held up really well.
I have two versions for download, one compressed for the web and another that is a DVD image file. Hopefully the DVD image will give you a good feel for how well the HD to SD to DVD conversion process works.
The video is about 4 minutes long.
HVX200, default settings, F5, 720pN, variable frame rates throughout.
All focus was done in-camera with the focus assist feature and the DTL feature (I wanted to get a feel for how accurate you could get without an external monitor).
NO color correction or other processing has been done. This is raw HVX footage roughly cut together with dissolves.

If it would help maybe I can start a torrent of the 220MB DVD image. It really is worth seeing for those of you looking for a better way to judge HVX output beyond short clips on the web.
