hvx200 and using a PC

does this have anything to do with the

HP Mode function? live / recording? what is that?

still trying not to give up on adobe live 3, since that is what my cdn recommends
 
HP Mode has to do with whether you hear the audio live, or delayed as per recording. In practical terms you would always want HP Mode set to "live"; otherwise you might hear an annoying echo when recording 24p. (note: the echo won't be in the footage, just in the headphones; "live" eliminates the echo).

Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder 3 does not see my hvx.
USB connected.

time to go to Best Buy and plug in a consumer camera- im sure that will work and would make more sense than spend all this time..
 
I did it.

I was able to enable the HVX to be seen by Adobe Media Encoder 3. I will update this thread, later, but you can PM me if you need help.

..I need to check, but I had to be in DV mode, 480i to make it work. odd
