hvx won't mount and system error...

so after doing some test shooting on the P2 card, I tried to connect it via firewire to a Mac G5 dual 1.8 the LCD shows 1394 device disconnect but won't mount. other times when i do it a box pops up saying disk not readable. and then a couple times on the HVX LCD I get a system error micon error.

been searching around with no luck. The p2 card works in the slot on my PC laptop and the HVX will connect to the G5 thru USB...

any ideas?
 
don't know about the G5, but you do not need drivers to connect the HVX to a Mac Pro via firewire. just make sure the camera has been set to 1394 DEVICE mode, then turn it off. then connect the firewire cable from the Mac to the camera, then turn the camera on. then go to PC mode, and your P2 should mount.
