HVX/P2 Software Updated

If I had spent $10k on my printer, I might expect a courteous email now and then informing me of an update.

That said, I won't harp on it. I agree that even when there is good news, it is always met with a good dose of whining!

What's "sad" about it? Does your printer manufacturer e-mail you when there's an updated driver for your printer?

There is no confusion about the 8GB rebate. It's exactly what it was from the beginning.

Barry, with all due respect, I don't think anybody can claim with a straight face that there wasn't "some" confusion about the 8GB rebate. Even Jan thought the page was a little confusing, and the verification/auditing process hasn't been a smooth ride.

It has been hardly Panasonic's finest hour.

As to the analogy between a $70.00 printer that you can buy at Walmart and the HVX200 with p2 cards, I think it might be warranted that Panasonic provide some notice of any firmware updates.

I won't even discuss the lack of Macintosh parity. A $6,000 camcorder should be platform agnostic for firmware updates.

Panasonic needs to address this in my view.
