HVX Host Mode and Firewire800

Will the HVX run host mode, on a Firewire 800 Drive? or does it only work with the Firewire400?

Isn't the problem in getting the right connection to the FW800 drive with the 4 pin connector?

It'll run FW400, and if you plug it into a FW800 port, that port will automatically adjust itself to run FW400. So it doesn't really matter, and a FW800 port won't add anything extra.
