Hey, I have footage on my computer from an HVX, and was capturing it via Final Cut Pro. The footage looks great, and no problems in the capture window, audio and video were fine and played well. Once I brought it into the preview window, or the time line, the audio sounded kind of sped up, it pops, and then completely cuts out towards the end. The video also looks as if it slows down a bit too. PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!!!
I DO NOT want to reshoot my footage!!! These are some of the things I have done so far:
-restart final cut AND the computer
-when prompted to, changed the external video settings to match the clip settings
-opened a completely new project, and did the same trouble shooting with same
results

PLEASE HELP!!! email responses to: steveorleman@yahoo.com
And thank you for your time!
Steve

Just to clarify . . . you shot NTSC DV to tape and are capturing through firewire to FCP?

Is that correct? Because if you shot DVCProHD to p2, then the process is different.

also version numbers of FCP and what computer

BTW, Probably not wise to post your email in a public forum.

Remember too not to double and triple post.

But did you shoot HD? If so, what flavor? 720? 1080? What frame rate? IF not HD than DVCPRO50 or 25? I think you get the picture. More info is needed to assess your issue.
