You will not find it there...
i had to call directly and literally beg for it as they don't sell it any more. Apparently, they were not 100% happy with fitment on some VCT plates, so it's not available... I said i need to try it on my plate and that this part is crucial for my set up (and it is). Finally, the kit was included (for free) but with caution that it might not fit as it should. Well, it did not! But, a simple modification on the rear part made it perfect.
System is complete.

THE ARMY OF REBORN!

I love it!

As far as Solid EVF mount: yes, one the best pieces I got for cheap. And with my combination of Solid and 3Ality parts, I was able to get my DP4 closer to the camera body than it was before (with only Solid holder attached to Berkey plate). Just saying.
Check out my previous pix to see all details...

On another note: just got a package from 3Ality today with the remaining "missing" parts. Got the raiser/plate and shoulder pad as well as VCT-U kit for mounting on Sony VCT plate. All complete! Did I say the price was "funny"low?...

Hi Tata. Got my kit thanks to you, all fitted and into action already. I actually really like the height of the new handle. Bought shoulder pad too but made mistake of not ordering the VCT-U kit so I can't mount to tripod. I also need a part (?) to attach rails to the rear for my external battery. All in all, delighted and will post some rig pics soon to. Sparky

I just contacted Elements a few days ago about the VCT kit and they said they were sold out but considering another production run. I ended up buying the Shape baseplate.

If you have a berkey top plate I bet that offsets a lot of it.

The thing is, if something is more compact but the same weight, it's perceived as heavier.

Duke et al -- I just completed the conversion and did weigh all the parts removed including the Berkey top plate which comes in on a precision scale of just over 2 lbs. The New top/side/handle are just over 2 lbs (2.25) so there is really not much difference in weight. It was a little tricky removing the side plate, did not pop off really easy, but everything seemed to go smoothly overall. At first did not know where the two smaller silver bolts went into the top plate but then found the spots near the front. Overall, very satisfied with the upgrade. If anyone wants a good deal on the Berkey top plate and extender, please let me know.

In the second of the installation videos, the installer undoes a connector on the bottom of the camera that doesn't need to be disconnected. He puts it back at the very beginning of the third video. It'd be easy to miss. Could that be the problem? There is only one ribbon connector that needs to be undone to get the side panel off.

That was absolutely it! I took off two connectors and he never said to reconnect them, well I guess I missed that he said it. Tonight I took off the side and bottom, noticed the connector was disconnected, and reconnected it, then the audio again worked. I was somewhat irritated at myself not testing the audio ahead of time. I did find the videos a little hard to follow, but probably it was just that I am not that familiar with this type of thing. Thanks!

Connector cable is on the lower side and had to remove bottom also to secure it. You slide it in then snap tabs on either side. It is not far from the XLR jacks. Then replace bottom and side panel will snap in withou removing top.

Well perhaps they've noticed that the current scramble to get the kit at the discounted price says that it was probably way overpriced to start with.
I hope if they do another production run the pricing for that will reflect this lesson learned.....

Well fellas!

I mentioned before when posting the links for videos to WATCH THEM NUMEROUS TIMES just for that reason...
They are not "National Geographic production value" but there are no better and help a lot with install. When you watch ALL 3...

I doubt it...
That place is "Red team" now. They are moving on. That 's why a "dump sale" at the first place... They will continue producing and selling overpriced stuff for other models.

There was a NAB announcement that 3ality was bought by Red.

Hi Peter - I have to say that after purchasing, installing and using my 'new' camera dressed in Armor, I am absolutely delighted by it. The build quality is fantastic, and some serious thought has clearly gone into its design and production. I don't think the price was too extreme for a great piece of kit. Just my two cents, Sparky

Curious, would you have paid full price for it? Is it awesome only because it was 70% off list? I am just asking, not trying to argue or make any point. Simply Curious.
