HPX370 Lens Options

I'm wondering what other lenses people are using on their Hpx300/370. (Wasn't able to find any other threads on this.)
I've been using the stock lens but haven't been all that happy with it. It seems consistently softer than my Hpx170 on my multi-cam shoots.
Does anybody know for example if
Fujinon's TH13x3.5BRMU 13x has CAC? Any other good options out there?
Thanks!

I have the Fuji wide angle and it is not CAC. But you can set a lens shading profile for it and save it to a user file. Works just fine. And I like the lens A LOT.

Can you please explain about the shading profile for this lens?

The lens does not have a CAC profile built into it like the standard zoom lens. The CAC profile is a bit of data stored in the lens, and the lens talks to the camera to let it know what the lens shading profile is.

With Non CAC lenses, you can mount a lens on the 300 or 370 and assign a user profile, using a procedure outlined in the manual, and save the profile to a user file. Up to 3 different user/lens profiles can be saved in camera.

I have a user profile saved for the Fuji Wide lens and when I switch off of the standard zoom, I change to the stored user profile for the wide angle and shoot away.

Yes i knew about the CAC part, but what exactly do you change in the user profile for a non CAC lens? Would be nice to get even better results!

Check your manual. There is a procedure to establish lens shading for non CAC lenses which is pretty simple. Basically you mount a lens, white balance on an evenly lit white field, run the lens shading routine which takes a few seconds and then save that profile to a user setting.
That is the short story, check the manual for the details.

I'm interested in which lens options are available for 1/3" as well, I have been looking around and there seems to be a surprisingly low variety in small ENG lenses...
I did spot the Canon KT17ex4.3B IRSE as being nice upgrade to the stock Fuji, but then I saw the MSRP... I'm sure I wouldn't want something else from Fuji after seeing all the fringing, but would the Canon lens really make an image that's five figures nicer?
At that price I might as well wait for an HPX500 replacement, though I'm guessing it'll ship with a crappy stock lens too.
