HPX250: HPX 250 at the pumpkin patch

Thanks for posting soarprod, its nice to see the 250 in a video where its not all locked down and staged.Looks good :)

For the shots that weren't on a tripod, were you strictly hand-holding, or did you use some kind of shoulder rig?

thanks for the posting.

it looks like everyone had a good time.

hpx250 does colors very well.

shot late afternoon 230-430pm?

exposure + nd was good considering all of that light.

shooting f16/f22?

again, thanks for adding to the conversation.

be well

We were there around 2pm. Shot using the PAP 2 setting at 1/64 ND around F3.5 to F5.

The colors were close to accurate and I can pump them a lot in post.

With the HPX370 you can't go above F5.6 without the picture starting to soften due to diffraction. The 250 should be the same but im wondering if they've done something similar to the canon x305, that one seems to break the rules
when it comes to how far you can stop the lens down before softening? The new lens seems to be very good indeed.

When using the 250 on a few small gigs, I didn't see softness when the auto iris stopped down more then f/5.6 but I would have to shoot something and analyze on the plasma at full res.

Oh wow, this is the first time I've actually taken a look at HPX250 footage. QUITE impressive. And my jaw dropped when I saw actual demonstrations of the zoom range.

In the hpx250 film Pumkin the is a young woman with child. I'm surprised how few details there are in her face. Is it due to f16/22 aperture? The Panasonic AG-AC160 has given a faar better result for faces in http://vimeo.com/31323349 by Oleg Kalyan, but this film was shot indoors.
