Hoya Pol. Circ. HD Filter VERSUS Hoya Pol. Circ. Filter Pro 1 Digital

[etrust]

Hi Guys,

Can somebody tell me the difference between these filters:

Hoya Pol. Circ. HD Filter
Hoya Pol. Circ. Filter Pro 1 Digital

The second question: Are Hoya Filters great?

Thank you.

I recently bought this Hoya CIR-PL (the cheaper version):

I expect it to be good enough for my discerning abilities; I haven't received it yet: I'll test it when it gets home

here are my tests:

I see no discernible effect on sharpness, even on 18 Mpix stills
about its effectivenes... the sky is not collaborating, I'll have to make some additional tests some other day
