I have a dvx100 and i got a wireless mic system....as of now the wirless is coming into channel 1 (left) and the onboard mic to channel 2 (right)

i dont want it to sound wierd that u hear wireless in the left speaker and onboard in the right during playback so is there a way to merge/combine the channels so they both come on of eachother

Depending on what you use to edit (if it's Windows MovieMaker, iMove, or a similar program, this won't be possible), you should be able to mix them together as you edit... and this is really the best way to do it. Record separately, edit together.

Otherwise, and it's really not a great idea to record this way, you'd need an external mixer to take the two mics, mix them into one signal, and feed that mix to the camera.

You probably don't want to be mixing on-the fly (by yourself) anyway - I mean, why have wireless AND an on-cam mic if you can't control the balance at specific times.

If you're not using editing software that will let you treat the L & R stereo tracks as independent mono tracks, try this:

Edit your footage with the stereo audio. Don't add any audio transitions;

Export just the stereo audio as a WAV or AIFF (if you can't do that, export the movie and open it in Quicktime Pro, and then do an "export as" and choose sound - AIFF.

Open the audio file you just created in (if a mac) ProTools, Audacity, etc - any audio mixing program that will let you adjust the L-R balance and the levels of the tracks.

Edit as you like and export as WAV or AIFF; then IMPORT this new audio file back into your video editor and replace the existing soundtrack.

In PREMIER PRO it just takes a couple of mouse clicks to "fill" the audio left or right.
But you have to copy and paste the audio track 1 time first so you can "fill left" on one, then "fill right" on the other.
"Fill" is in the Audio FX folder.
