man that's a moment i could see so clear although sad that is poetry Capt. that should be filmed. my father passed away last year they had an honor guard as we passed by them they were old men hunched over barely could stand rather funny from afar, but i felt so proud and these veterans were there to honor my father whom they never met. they folded the flag up with feeble hands rather clumsly compared to the real honor guards, but for me and my family, there were no better men than they. the one man saluted and then got down on one knee in front of my mom and presenting the carefully folded flag he said to my mom with tears in his eyes, he had just found out that my dad was a POW in nazi germany like himself and insisted on being the one to personally hand the flag to my mom. he then stood up straight and saluted with tears streaming down his cheeks.....man that was a moment......................................................................CaptainMench said:Mike
Best/worst moment in my career... standing over a grave at Arlington National Cemetery conducting Beautiful Saviour when it was 25 degrees and snowing and it was the Band, the Honor Guard, the Chaplain and one family member. *I couldn't help myself -- I was crying my eyes out. *I've done HUNDREDS of funerals, but that one just hit me hard.
Hey -- I just found out I'm "in the zone" for the next Major board.

me i like horses, quiet and peaceful outdoors blue sky, atv's too noisey, i guess i'm old school romantisizng the old cowboyJim Arthurs said:Sure, managing cattle is fun... until you have to do it. I knew my life was different than most back when I was in my early twenties... I was at a film to tape transfer up in Denver in the morning, then slipping in cow crap helping my Dad by mid afternoon! The cows are just a hobby now, and a great diversion from animation, fixing fence is a way to keep the carpal-tunnel down.
I rent pasture for 100 head of cattle on 640 acres from May to October for grazing. Nice hormone free beef, care-free baby calves dancing in the sunshine. My motto is, "Your food should be happy until you eat it".
In the summer I have a "cow cam" monitoring the water level in the stock tank hooked up on the internet. I'll make sure you all can watch.
Don't much care for horses, like ATV's and old Chevy trucks a lot better...
BTW, sheep suck. Baby lambs are born trying to die. No "Brokeback Mountain" allowed where I come from...
