AC160 How Good Is the STABILIZER?

How good is the stabilizer in the AC160/130 for steadicam-like walking shots with the lens set at full wide angle?
I would be interested to hear any experiences people have had with it.

By comparison, I've used the 18-200mm kit lens (which comes with the Sony FS700), and it does a pretty good job with it's "active stabilzer".

Just wondering how the AC160/130 stabilizer compares.

It is not its strong point. I had a cheap Sony HD1000 a couple of years ago and upgraded to the 160A. The Panny stabiser didn't come close and walking with one will disappoint. However, it cannot be all things to all men and I reckon it is still the best value on the market. (other than possibly my new AF102 purchased at a silly run out price-its on its way!) I use a tiffen steadicam pilot for mobile shots and the 160A turns in a stonkingly good result. So , unless you do a lot of walking run'ngun stuff do not let that be your deciding factor, you will miss out on a superb camera capable of extremely professional flexibility.
Cheers!
