How do you import the MXF files into Final Cut from an external drive???

Please help with this topic...I'm using apple and the latest FCP software. The Files were captured on the P2 cards and then transfered to a lacie drive....and now I can't get them off. Everything's fine....I just don't know how to do it...Please help...thank you

I put a button for the function in my Browser's Button Bar, and created a keyboard shorcut.
