Apologies for noob question, but I've never actually done this....

Need to convert the Canon 7D mov shot at 720 / 50 fps, to work in Final Cut as Pro Res in a 1080 project (I have Magic Bullet instant HD installed) and keep the great slo motion...

Step by step guide would be useful. Thanks!

My process is simply to throw it into a 24/25 1080p sequence in cs5/6, slow it down desired amount. Then you can either scale to fram size or use instant HD to scale to frame size. Once you export everything will be 1080p and at your desired speeds.

Using Final Cut. Should have mentioned before.

Actually figured it out....

* The footage was shot on Canon 7D at 50fps
* Used Magic Bullet Grinder to convert the footage to 1080 Pro Res (maintaining 50fps)
* Then imported the converted clip into Cinema Tools
* CONFORM the clip to 25fps
* In final cut the 50fps clip now plays in Slow Motion at 25fps

This helped
