Horsing Around with my Micro35

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

I'm waiting on a quote from my cm. I should have it posted by Sunday.

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

It is interesting to compare the two adapters! Does anyone know what grit glass the mini35 uses? If I remember correctly it was only moderately fine. I wonder if the constant motions helps though?

Thanks for the info redrock!

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

is that minor flicker due to the CD spinning? Also on some of the first shots I noticed some "spots" that were reappearing in different places...

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

Yes, the flicker was the badly made first generation gg that I'd forgotten to switch out. I was so excited about the macro fix, I'd just raced outside to the horses. There shouldn't be any spots. Could be the playback on your machine....

I'll be sending out an update to everyone on the list tonight.

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

redrock, just thought I'd point out that on your footage site, the first clips (11/25/04) is online, but the link is to your C:/ not to your web server. Just thought I'd let you know.

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

Redrock,

The site and information look good. I was wondering if you could put up some uncompressed stills on your website. Possibly even stills of a scene with and without the adaptor on for comparison. Good work on the information and I'm excited to see what it's capable of.

That would be excellent... Please, if you have time. :)

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

You really going to charge the people on this forum that much cash? I understand it's "a bargain" but damn--we're the forum people! ??? 8)

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

It's a bargain man. You can only lower the price so much - you have to pay for parts after all. I would take the low price to be the discount you're seeking - except it's for everyone.

Well put Shaw...

this refined system is an amazing deal, for the result to be had.
Great work Redrock.

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

Considering the alternatives are...

(*) $10,000.00 which is completely ridiculous

-OR-

(*) Hundreds of hours of R&D, trial and error, QA (which can easily add up to hundreds and hundreds of dollars lost just in time alone let alone money spent on tangible items for prototypes that fail).

$500.00 is a gift. Hell, I plan on tipping him as well ;D

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

500 bucks is a pretty good deal to allow your DVX to use interchangeable lenses.
