Horsing Around with my Micro35

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

Redrock

Can I ask what the difference between your design and the mini35? I might be intrested in purchasing one. I hope this is no scam.

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

ive been waiting for an update on your design since you first posted about it a while ago, it looks really great, once its done, I want one

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

THanks for the great comments guys! It really means a lot after a year and a half worth of work!

This is no scam! I'll be releasing a guide (with plans and vendors) on how you can do it yourself for less than $30. I'll also be selling parts and assembly for you guys that just want to get it and start shooting!

If there's anyone in the DFW area that would like to use it on a project, please let me know! I need footage!

Thanks again guys!

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

That sounds great! I'd certainly fork over money for a parts kit and some instruction. Heck, I'd easily pay good dinero for a pre-built one!

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

one last thing can you use a follow focus with this setup. sorry for all the different posts, I am just so excited with all this I can't really keep track of all the thoughts my mind is racing through. We have a feature that has some possible funding behind it that I wrote and am directing and I just wanna make sure we can make use of this beast for the shoot.

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

Th footage looked really nice. Soft at times, but overall really good. I am curious how much a pre-built one would cost. Thanks and good luck with your projects.

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

hey he just quote $30 and you wanna shell out $1000.uh,uh------some of us here are starving artist just let's stick with $30.How do we order redrock? i already signed in.

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

Yes the follow focus will work (I've got a mfg sending me one to test with). Any standard 35mm lens should work, I suppose.

I'm hoping to get the guide out for print by early next week. The guide will be sold for ~$30. It will tell you how to build the device for less than the price of the guide! (hince the ~) I will certainly be available to put these guys together for you. There will just be a labor costs associated with it.. (Much less than a 1K I promise you!) Believe me, the only reason I went down this road was because of the insane price of the alternatives! To be honest, my big payback for the year and a half research will be seeing it used in a project!

Sorry about the server going down today, I wasn't planning on the level of responses that I received!

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

If you could get in contact with me soon I would greatly appreciate it, we also have a music video that we are doing in the next 3 weeks and would love to make use of it on that project as well. If you could email me at ryanh@alittlerandrproductions.com that would be fantastic.

Also do you think that this will preserve enough resolution for an adequate film out?

Re: Horsing Around with my Micro35

It should be as good as the mini35 on filmout. I'll probably send some footage out for testing that.

I shoot you an email on your projects.
