HMC150 Recording Format

Log/Transfer is not that big of a deal (especially if you have ANY previous video experience).

I have been shooting for pay since 2000 and have been shooting video since 1976. Never had a bit of experience with it. Not even sure why you would say that.

Mac users assume we all have to capture/transfer footage to our computers.

Just like how PC users don't think QT is needed for every video file.

May of us use L/T to log clips.

That way we can see what we have, choose what we need, and ingest only that.

It's just a different way of editing that some prefer.

does this mean that if i use CS4, i will not have problems as those incountered by the TS?

If I am shooting in the field (ENG situation) what is the best process to use so that i can transfer the files from the SD card to an external HDD so that i can use the SD card again?
(if this is OT here, please point me to he right thrtead. TIA)

Why? Log/transfer is nothing compared to shuttle searching through tape.... How is that for a start? Or hand logging all your footage? How about not having to set your entry ins and outs? And then praying that it is even close when you hit "perform?"

I edit on both platforms... and am mostly happy when editing on a PC - so the Mac comments are moot. (and taken out of context, I might add) FC and Premiere are more alike than they are different. But , that is just my opinion, as someone who gas edited on those two non-linear platforms for nearly a decade. heck - I even liked editing on a Media 100 back when all the tv stations I was around required that - the point being: the perceived "ease" of anything is relative to what you know and/or have experienced. At this moment, everything seems WAY easier that going back to film chains, splicing blocks... shuttle searching, etc. Sorry I did not include context- One has to love the lack of context and facial cues when trying to communicate on the internet- or not. No offense intended or specifically meant.
