Shotgun Mic HF100 help!
Hey Guys,

I recently purchased the Azden SMX-10 directional shotgun mic for my canon HF100, and I have found that the shoe on the mic does not fit the camera, I was wondering if anyone has run into this problem before, and if they know any solutions, if they sell any adapters for the mic or for the camera's shoe. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I'd rather not go through the process of returning it, because I really like the mic itself.

Thanks guys,

-Colin

The one from Adorama is shorter. I bought it for my Rode Videomic, which I use with an hf-10. These seem to be the only choices, unfortunately.

Thanks Guys! I ended up in fact going with the adapter from bhphoto like you suggested Rippie, I actually just ran across it earlier today before seeing your guys' post.

And good call again Rippie, there not the best products im sure, but for my situation, building my camera package, I figured I'd go with the azdan for its price and the positive reviews i've read. I couldn't bring myself to pay anything over 100 dollars for a shotgun mic for the hf100, atleast not right now.

Glad to see you got it
