Help me find a good lens adapter

Trying to get a lens adapter to use my Nikon 50mm AIS 1.2 on my 7D. I tried the Fotodiox Pro, which fit wonderfully on the lens, but slid back and forth 1-2mm when attached to the body. Is there a way to adjust these adapters?

Oddly enough, I also bought a Fotodiox M42 to EOS adapter for $10, and it fits on the 7D body with absolutely no play. Granted, this adapter is a much simpler design.

Any suggestions on a solution? Is there another adapter out there the guarantees no play with the lens (which is especially important, since I wanted to use a follow focus setup with this lens). Should I try Fotodiox again?

I have the fotodiox adapter for my olympus OM lenses but it is not the pro version. It is tight with no play at all. I have found that my lenses will focus beyond infinity with the adapter so for wide shots simply hitting the end stop on the lens is not correct.
