Help me choose

I have a canon 7d and sigma 24-70 2.8. hsm EX

I have 800 dollars to buy optical and I'm between a sigma 70-200 2.8 II EX DG APO Macro or Sigma 70-300 f4-5.6 APO DG Macro + Sigma 10-20 f.4-5.6 EX DC HSM

I need the optical only for videos.

Any other advice on optics that do not exceed $ 800 is welcome

I don't think you need much longer focal length than what you have for standard shots. A typical set of cine primes includes 25, 35, 50 and 85. An extended kit would add an 18mm lens. I almost never use my 135 or 180. I would consider adding something on the wide end first such as the tokina 11-16 2.8 and then see if you can find a used 85 or 90mm prime that is 2.8 or faster (I would consider this a lower priority since 70mm is pretty much long enough). You would be close to 800 with that or slightly over depending on how much you get the prime for.

It depends what you are trying to do. If you are shooting wildlife, nature filming etc you would want long zooms. If you are doing short films, spec ads and music videos like me you would be looking for fast wide angle primes.

Unless you plan on moving up to full frame, that 24-70 Sigma is kinda wasted. I would have personally opted for the 11-16/2.8 + 17-50/2.8 + 50-150/2.8 which would cover a huge range of focal lengths at f/2.8 for roughly $1700.
