Hi
Yesterday I got an idea. To be able to test different settings for picture profiles on my AG-AC160 I connected the camcorder with HDMI to my EIZO ColorEdge monitor. I was surprised when I saw the bad picture on the monitor. It had some kind of interlace lines on it which made it hard to judge different settings so I gave up on that. I recorded a test clip and looked at it on the computer and there was a big difference in quality. The camcorder AV OUT is set to 1080i/720 and I tried different settings on the monitor but could not see any better picture.
Is there some setting in the camcorder I have missed? I thought that the picture would be as good as when I record with the camcorder, but that's not the case for me (especially as you are supposed to be able to connect an external recorder to the HDMI connector).
Regards,
/Bo
