Hdmi out (help quick)

I know it's on the gh2 somewhere but the cell connection isn't fast enough to search around.

But I'm on a shoot right now and we're trying to monitor the camera through hdmi. Is this possible or can you only use it for playback?

GH2 will allow you to monitor, GH1 playback only.

Are you shooting 720 or 1080? Cos, you can't monitor while shooting 720p.

For 1080/24p make sure the HDMI setting in camera is set to 'auto'.

How to play back footage on external monitor? Play button is only on touchscreen flipout lcd and it disabled if hdmi monitor connected. How to replay footage?

Were you using ETC mode perhaps? We know hdmi monitoring doesn't work in ETC mode.
