HDD to HVX

[boomstrikevideo]

Can .mxf files stored on an external HDD be played back through the HVX? Can't find anything in the book that says so unless I just missed it.

Thanks,

No.

I believe the FS100 can do this, but not an ordinary HDD.

But you can use the Firewire target mode to copy files directly to a formatted hard drive. Just not play back or copy from.

I didn't think so but thought I would ask nonetheless.

Thanks
