That trail is epic! Where is that at? I'm dying to ride it.

few more questions:
So how long can you record on an average size SD card? How much do they usually cost? Have you also used it as a B-cam with HVX stuff? How would you compare it to the HV20 in terms of overal image quality.. and finally, Where did you buy it from?
Also.. that footage looks really GREAT. One of the coolest things I've ever done in my life was going downhill mountain biking in UT. It was simply the BEST. I have that cat crapping grin on my face for days and would have spent every dime I had going back up the chairlift if I wasn't working. That was something inspirational and you are so right. It's clear and handles the bumps, and that jump really well. I think you just helped me realize my error in camera purchase.

How did you use Perian to convert m2ts movies? Do you have to have the exact folder structure as is recorded on the HDD/SDHC or you just drag-and-drop m2ts files into whatever-u-drag-them-to?
My FCP 6.0.2 doesn't seem to recognize m2ts files and even QT doesn't recognize them. I'll try with iMovie "08.

Anyone thinking of getting the hard drive version? What would be the pros and cons of this and anyone use the HD version? I think i'm buying it tomorrow either way.
Today was laughable. We shot from the helicopter with a fast shutter and talk about Jello. CMOS cameras just plan suck at panning and movement and vibrations. Finally driven me to put the HV20 up for sale. Sucks so bad it's almost comical at what it does to the image.
Does the Red exhibit this kind of thing, even modestly? I was so hot on the Scarlett, but if that has a CMOS chip.. probably not too much. cheers all
I keep asking this and wonder if someone with a SD9 had the same experience as me.
Shooting greens in 24p. Oversaturated and yellow/blue look. Even WB and post didn't help.
anyone?
Are the clips you've shot in 1080/24p cinema mode?
I was thinking 50i vs 60i like PAL vs NTSC. If I want to have a second cam to match up the future HPX170 like the small SD9, is it better with a 50i or 60i thus more resolution and less compression...?
Or does it matter? I know Barry wrote something about this on another forum, but I can´t find it.
And... I´m planning to do PAL and NTSC SD DVD of the same project so what is the best thing to do. Convert NTSC to PAL or PAL to NTSC, 50i to 60i or 60i to 50i?
