Has anyone used this viewfinder?

but what i did was go to the forum search function and searched 'lcdvf' by thread title.
 
sure...that's what i would have done too haha....but at first glance, seeing a bunch of threads with similar titles, i was visually overwhelmed haha whew. ok.
 
well, from what i've read, the one major complaint is that 'it doesn't magnify enough'.

personally, i'd get it.

but, as they say, your mileage may vary.
 
i don't know, but since i've never tried an lcd magnifier, i could be totally missing the point...

since there's so many complaints of the lcd not being accurate enough for focus, then how would magnifying it help? in theory, you're magnifying something that wasn't good enough and making the imperfections ...um...more magnified?...THIS is where i think i'm missing something.

sorry, still have a case of the "noob" every now and then.
 
I use one of these. It's pretty nice, and works well. Magnifies the LCD enough for me, and definitely helps me get focus, but honestly, it's not that much better than just looking at the LCD. It does make it a lot easier to shoot out in the sun, though.

I haven't used a zacuto or similar, more expensive model, but for the price, it's pretty nice.

the resolution of the screen is fine. it's the size of the screen that's the problem. so with a viewfinder, it'll work fine for getting the right focus.

keep in mind that not everyone has the same eye-sight. hence, 'it doesn't magnify enough.'


edit: this is solely based on deduction.
