Hi everyone.
Here is a western short movie shot in France for a few hundred bucks. We're planning to make 11 other webisodes... Please let us some feedback! (much more production insights on the website http://www.RapacesWebSeries.com or on the Vimeo page)

1886. A mysterious set of cards is scattered all around the World: the MAJOR ARCANAS.
Among the greedy adventurers struggling to collect them are THE LOVERS: STONE, his TWO WIFES and his son. They just captured one of their most dangerous rivals. A MANIPULATIVE and SEDUCTIVE bird of prey.

Introduction of the episode available here: http://www.vimeo.com/21359009

New mix

New mix

Just a little head up: the video file on Vimeo has been upgraded with a new mix (louder music), works much better!

For me I was interested at first but stopped watching cause 3 mins in I had no idea what was happening or why... looks great, the editing is too jarring and I can't put the story together so I just gave up. I'm sure it gets better explained as it goes on but on the web you only get viewers attention for so long so you need to hook them right away. Hope that doesn't sound too negative, I'm trying to be constructive since you're planning on 11 more episodes... productions values are great, story is non existent in the first 3 mins which will loose a lot of people.

Thank you so much to take the time to give us some feedback, especially since you didn't like the movie.
We're conscious that this episode requires real involvement from the audience at first, which isn't a great thing, especially on the Internet, as you noted. We'll correct this in future episodes.

Wow A plus man. Entertaining & original.
I havent gone through the introductionary video but it feels like a rpg; role playing game.
Love the credits.

The headshot at end was off , color of the blood and spatter, and the green sometimes looked to green. Id drop the saturation in the green channel abit . 0.39 and 1.28 for example, not all . Like the colorgrade.
Intresting, great way to spend a few hundred bucks.
Consider using english subtitles even if they just mumble !
I'm impressed.

PS : Beware frameblending !

Thanks a lot! Ok for everything... but: we have problems with the texture of CGI blood, for instance on the head shot. Whatever we do, it never seems very "integrated", so we often end up lowering the opacity, but then we lose the color. Any tip?
