sweet finally a rig thats going to be priced around $100, nice one...

-----clicks link, looks at price.....?

FUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Wow. $690? I could probably get the welding shop down my street to make me the exact same thing for under $200.

How the hell are you supposed to see the lcd in that first config?

Looking at the other photos on the website, the arm is adjustable to position the monitor on either side of the camera as well.

Seems like it was just a bad picture choice for that particular setup.

Not a bad looking rig overall. And if it's solidly built and works as claimed, then the price tag isn't very unreasonable. I'm really not sure what many of you are expecting when it comes to pricing.

Imo even the indirailspro or gini rigs are much more professional looking and less than half the price.

Not only does it lack modularity, it seems proprietary to DSLR use. At least the bulk of Zacuto/Redrock/etc are pieces that can be used with future frankenrigs.

Really not sure how it's any less professional looking at all. Can't argue with you on price though.

Having not used any of them I don't have an opinion on their actual use. But I'd gladly pay more for functionality and comfort if that were the case.

Checkout the stuff made by Redrock Micro....its great stuff. Built of the ultimate quality and super affordable. Example, all milled aluminum parts and Carbon Fiber rails on my shoulder mount unit...cost me only $400. Compare that to Element Technica or Zacuto rig.

I guess I did a perfect job with this one since some say its the best DSLR rig and some say just the opposite :)

I am not allowed to say good or bad things about my product since I am not a sponsor of this forum yet :))) But if you guys have anything to ask about HandySLR you can find my contact details from www.handyslr.com

We are all filmmakers and lets not fight on silly things like equipments. They are there to help. Pick the one you like.

I will be back when I am a sponsor :) I hope it does not cost too much :)

I'm a Cavision user with RR follow focus, but I like this rig, very attempting...

Yes, the price could be cheaper, coz it look simple....I agree
But what I see, is a shoulder mount with rail system+magice arm+swing away function for mattbox+top handle. With other brand, all up could cost over $1000 easily. And I do like the tool-less function a lot.

Doesn't look like you can use the viewfinder tho, which is the down side, but I use more monitor than viewfinder nowaday. I like the design, might try to talk into a mate see if he wants to get it then I can play with it too. hehe

I don't wanna be "that guy", but really... if you want to go hey-look-atme-I'm-from-space, just get your Zacuto. Yeah, new market etc etc, I guess there's money to be made... but no, I frankly don't see why you would want to spend (waste?) your money on yet-another market newcomer, especially not at this price point.

....and possibly implement some new ideas, not just the space-look :D
