Halo - Music Video (tribute) 7D

this is a music video i did for my girlfriend who passed away last month...she was only 23 and this was something that i needed to do...i wrote/recorded/edited this whole thing all within a day so bare in mind that i know its not pefect...this was the hardest thing ive ever done but it was something i needed to do for her and her family...

i used my 7D for the main parts and found every single video clip i could possibly find of her for the rest...please let me know what you guys think...i really do appreciate all feedback

Wow, you've got great vocal delivery! I used to hear allot of aspiring rappers in college that would basically just talk over some beats... but you've got a real professional projection to your lyrics. Nice job! Sorry about your loss though... :(

Great delivery , strong passion and excellent song. I like how you used footage you had which was great.

One thing I would have liked to have seen is maybe some outside shots and places that yall used to spend time. Maybe some shots of you looking at the sun setting, driving scenes etc. Basically you have an excellent song with a lot of energy and a good concept, but it just needs some shots of you outside to basically let the freedom go.

I would really like to see a professional big budget video shot for this, sorry for your loss

Bless

thank you very much...i really do appreciate it...it means a lot

trust me...i had an entire video storyboard all set up and wanted to do it but i couldnt bring myself to do it...the vision i had in mind was exactly like how u would see in a music video...the plan was to blend in...my plan was to show me getting up doing my daily routine and every time i would do something id flashback to a clip...and then progressively get dressed and go to where shes buried...but seeing how i was the only one who was available,i had to film and be in it so i couldnt do what i wanted...and to be honest i really am not ready to go to where shes buried...but believe me,thats what i had in mind...

i only did 1 take of 2 different shots because even tho no one was there with me or has even heard the song before,i wanted it to be real to me so it could be for other people as well...its a little hard to explain

as far as the music itself, ive been recording/writing/producing/mastering music for about 10 years as a hobby of mine and ive gotten a lot of praise for it so again,i really do appreciate it

First off, my condolences on your loss. Truly.

Second, you have a real gift with the vocals, man. Really.

Third, when the time is right for you, I would suggest you do exactly what you planned for the video in the first place. This is really good, and I know that would make it even better.

That's worth an immeasurable amount more than any acted/unreal film.

Very emotional and the fact your emotions are real, the situation is real, and the photos and shots of her are real...makes it a very special piece.

23 is no age :(

She'll be very proud of it. You did her proud :)

You've really tackled your loss with positivity, even though it must have been really hard for you. Inspirational

thank you very much...with all of the music that ive done for her, this one will always be special...i was with her for 2 years and unortunately i didnt have a whole lot of footage of her,but i felt like i did compared to people i talk to...im not saying that you all should videotape the ones you love in case something does happen, but just live life and enjoy everyone around you thats special to you...i know i did

honestly,a lot of people have reached out to me about the video and have told me that its helped them and its the biggest compliment of all...so if you know someone that has lost someone close, dont hesitate to show them... once again...thank you all for all your thoughts and prayers
