But... Petros... no comment on what it does?
... something can be said for them not taking the iLok route. I look at the two iLoks plugged into my workstation with both fear and disdain.
I'm not sure what you mean... as I noted in my first "not-review" post, the pop-ups were so severe you couldn't actually use it without being interrupted by a demo-reminder pop-up, and so there was no reasonable evaluation to make. It looks nice though.
...
Anyway, once the changes are made to the demo, I'll definitely give it the whirl it deserves.
I've been wondering about this too. In theory, every specific sound has an unique soundwave made up of certain frequencies and complex harmonics. If a program can learn to identify these as being a certain sound, then it might be abe to separate it from another element (such as new dialogue before the reverb of the last word has died out), all controlled by more or less the same parameters as a compressor. I think it will be possible someday to a certain degree. If someone shouts in a cathedral "HEY, THAT'S WHAT I THINK ABOUT YOU"
and the eeeeeey of hey is under the tha from that's, and the at from what is under the I thi...
How does the program knows it has to remove the eeeeey and the at and not the thaa and the thi ?
