Grabs from a Moto shoot today

I am filming the Australian 4 day Moto Enduro event. Today was 1st day of riding and I shot about 40 mins of footage. Here's some grabs from the shoot.

I was going to say those top ones look sort of dark, but in the video you can't even tell. I liked your shots of the bikes once they started racing. Makes me want to make my film ride his and film it.
 
Wow. I really liked the colors and the aspect ratio! That was great. What did you edit this on?
 
Dude that color was facking LEGIT! Damn you Aussies know how to get your color for sure! Sick vid too man, but you gotta turn on 24p it looks SO much more LEGIT!

edit: hmm, looks like some 24p and 60i...... weird. what did you shoot it in?

cant wait to see the rest!

Amazing Dory, I wouldn't of though any one would of picked up the frame rate differences, your eye is masterful caus there is some 25p and some 50i although the 50i stuff was de-interlaced its still apparent then.

What happened was when I got there in the morning, I was doing some stuff handheld and on the tripod but they were all static shots filmed in 25p.
Whe it came time to racing I didn't switch to 50i and 1/120th shutter mode as I had planned on doing so I can do slomo's in post later. There's some racing shots in 25p and 50i. I'll shoot the rest in 50i for the weekends shoot. Once its all edited, i'll CC it and de-interlace the whole thing in AE/MB so it'll go back to 25p anyway. It migh not look as nice as shooting native, but slomo's are a must in this and 25p slowed down 60% or 50% looks crap, too much blur.
 
Hmm, I knew it couldnt hae been 24p... damn Aussies and your PAL monkey buisness :-P. just kidding. yeah man that was really nice though. What'd you do to the color?
 
Hey Dory, I used a look called Curahee I think. Its a Magic Bullet preset with a white diffusion in it. For the grabs I think it was Buffalo.
The aspect is 2:35 anamorphic.

With respect to the 50i footage, I shot the last two days in 25p with the DVX and had my son use the GS300 as second camera shooting 50i 1/120th shutter. As I cut this 50i footage, i'm slowing it by 60% then de-interlacing it with MB and giving it a gamma tweak to match the 25p footage from the DVX which I used scene f6 cine. The DVX footage looks absolutely spankin, can't wait to show you more!
