General Good Small Tripod For DLSR Video?

(i apologize if this is in the wrong forum, im new to dvxuser)
Hello, i am looking fro recommendations for tripod sticks that are high quality and profesional looking, and also small and lightweight. I own the Canon T2i, so strength is not that big of a deal to me, as the camera is extremely lightweight. I currently own the Libec H22 and love it, except for its size and weight. Are there any tripod legs that are around half the size and weight, but still use the same "twist" feature that the Libec H22 uses to slide the legs? I do not like the feel of the "clamp" style that most smaller tripods use, but would like a tripod in that size.
Thanks For Recommendations!
Pierce

Sorry abou that, i have the T58 1-Stage Alloy Tripod, which bundled with the H22, is named the LS22m. The Gitzo looks very nice, but is a little out of my price range, as i would rather buy cheaper legs and get a good head, are there any similar ones to that in way of design? i like the twist release legs.

That is better for stills. You want something with a fluid head. Or your shots will be kinda jerky as you pan/tilt.

I'd guess not. Call B&H- they will help you choose something that is good for video for your budget.

lots of people use the manfrotto 190 or 055 legs, specially when on the go; I'd prefer the 055 (very similar, just slightly taller), but that's because it would be my primary tripod, and not just for on-the-go stuff

they also have a leveling column option for any of those, but it seems to be permanently out of stock

No, it's not. It's crap. The 701 is lousy and stiff for panning with no incremental variability and only friction, not springs. Cheap plastic garbage.

Good to know.
Have you found any travel size fluid heads that work better in this weight category. I have a Small Sachtler and medium size Miller, but just can't take one of them everywhere. Like climbing for example.

that is very good to know indeed. Have you ever come across legs in this size category that have a ball head? or do they all use a leveling center column instead?
