Godaddy-T2i with stock lens

Ban Me Please!
I thought some might find this interesting. My friend Jae and I decided at the last minute to enter the godaddy.com commercial contest and use his new T2i. He has used it a couple of times before, but wanted to try out the whole vDSLR thing in a real run and gun format.

The crew was he and I with the camera and stock lens. We used a 800 watt halogen and 1,000 watt softbox for most everything. We also used a high-hat dolly and a tiny, table-top one as well.

We had a few hours to shoot it at the mansion we used and the sun decided not to show up....

That said, it was a lot of fun. You can pick it apart, but I'm still amazed what can be done with such simple and affordable gear.

Check it out and if you get a chance vote for us on Godaddy.com.

Thanks,

Jason

Looks good. Some nice shots in there & funny concept. I especially liked the quick shot in the fast food restaurant. Had a very surreal look to it.

Are production companies even relevant anymore? What with all these companies doing contests like this and getting FREE concepts & commercials handed to them?

EDIT: i gave you a 5 as well.

Thanks everybody. It was a fast, but fun shoot. Thanks for taking the time to look and vote!!

Deepfocus88: I agree with what you're saying. Plenty of people are pulling out all the stops for these contests. I guess it's just like gambling except that, no matter what, you have something in your pocket after it's over (the spec commercial) :)
