Glidecam steadicams?

Has anyone used the GH1 with the Glidecam 1000HD or 2000HD or the 2000HD Pro? Also, what other steadicams are you using?

i have a glidecam 2000 and a poor man's steadycam. But just got my gh1 last week and don't have a major reason to shoot with the steadycams at the moment. I think it'll be awesome considering, it'll be so light. The only thing is, I would definitely have the neck strap wrapped my wrist at least. Just in case.

I have a 2000 pro. You can see a few shots with it here: http://www.vimeo.com/8655720
It's been great, however it may be a little too big for the GH1 if all you have is the gh1 & stock lens. The Glidecam is bottom heavy because of the gh1's light weight.
Regardless, it certainly works well.

Man, i REALLY loved the look of that video! Great pacing/editing, and the Glidecam shots blended well with the frantic pace...did you shoot anamorphic, or did you add streaks in post? also, the subtle red lines top/bottom are tasteful...well done man.

Thanks for the replies guys. I liked your video very much iHartVideo. In your opinion, do you think I should go for the 1000 or just add some accessories to weigh down the GH1 with the 2000pro. Weird that the 2000pro is cheaper than the 1000...

Hi,

I have the HD2000 and I can easily balance it to the parameters suggested by the manual. It is in many ways a very good product. As it could handle a lot more weight, you´d be all set without danger of maxing out too soon weightwise when you add equipment to your rig.

Thanks guys.
Personally I am glad (& would recommend) going with the 2000 to 'future-proof' your expenditure. I also have a QR plate on top ( http://www.filmtools.com/boma32quread.html ) and it's still bottom heavy, but it works.

Skinny - those flares were all added in Vegas.
I can't take credit for the red lines... they were something I had seen in an early 90's music vid that I had always thought was really cool. First chance I got I used 'em!
