I follow your point but that just puzzles me... How you guys don't like GH4 but praise or consider that bunch of junk for professional/broadcast use (I understand now why I don't like much to watch TV nowadays!).
GoPro cameras provide the ugliest outcome for ANY screen since Lumière or Edison, well, I'd even say it is unfair to write their names in the same line ;-)
I am curious, does anyone truly like how the images from the GH4, especially skin tones, look? Does anyone think Panasonic will improve the color science on the GH5 so it more closely resembles the pro camera line? My time with the GH4 was only six months but in that time, we tried every setting we could get our hands on, everything from stock out of the box to some settings provided by the Panasonic rep, settings from here, other GH4 forums and none of our clients at the studios or networks really accepted how the camera made people look, very unflattering, even under good lighting. I got rid of it before V Log, does anyone have any talking heads, nicely lit interviews they have shot with V Log that they think look great or their clients think looked great? Anything for broadcast? I met a DP at the Varicam rollout in Hollywood who was using the GH4 a bunch on a cable show, but mainly for outdoor, plant camera and b-roll type of stuff. A cameras on that show were REDs and the DP told me that while he didn't like how the camera looked, it was good enough to use for cutaways, plant cameras, etc. kind of like how many of us use Go Pros.
No worries : ) I got you. I just react when people praise or dare to mention : D that crappy camera. If you want to buy a drone for a fair price, as for instance, you need to adapt anything from GoPro realm, a true PITA. And people stare you as you want some luxury gadget only because you're looking to base your setup on a 4/3" camera instead.I think you mistook what I wrote. I agree, Go Pros look horrible, I own three and use them and they are really only good for a quick cutaway here and there. The GH4 obviously looks better than a Go Pro, but in comparison to the RED A cameras used on that show that he DP'd, the GH4 was used how we would usually use a Go Pro, like car interiors, mounted on vehicles, etc.
You're right my bad. That was the gh2.that was gh2

Hi Emanuel, are you a native Portuguese speaker? If so, I just wanted to point out that "exquisite" (unusually fine or beautiful) in English has a very different, in a way almost opposite meaning from "exquisito" (odd or weird) in Portuguese.GH4 brought some exquisite skin tones straight out the box, oh yeah.
Hi, yes indeed. You hinted it. Just seen now. Thanks for your heads up! : ) You? Nice level of Portuguese understanding, my compliments. Actually, the Portuguese word is "esquisito" from strange as meaning accordingly. But you know my mother language, very quick to identify, I am flattered (EHi Emanuel, are you a native Portuguese speaker? Yes I love the way my GH4 looks, cut in with my C100II all the time along with other camera systems.
Actually will pick up the GH4 over the c100 (if I don't need all the bells and whistles of a "proper" video camera and extreme lowlight) for lots of gigs.
I mostly use the natural profile with everything dialed down about 2 notches and master ped +5. (Also speedboosted Canon L glass).
I had a client that didn't like the way cineD matched with the Canons so switched to those settings and now they match perfectly.
No problem! I'm a native speaker too.Hi, yes indeed. You hinted it. Just seen now. Thanks for your heads up! : ) You? Nice level of Portuguese understanding, my compliments. You mentioned exquisite in English or Portuguese meaning...? LOL Orange/Cyan pastel? Please links to your work with it showing exqusite, better or at least as good skin tones as your C100 MKII, inquiring minds want to know! ;-)
It is perfectly natural, meu amigo. BTW, what's your Portuguese name? Where are you located in the States? With me happens when I write in Portuguese 'envolvido', I often tend to write it with "i" as written in the English 'involved'.No problem! I'm a native speaker too. However my Portuguese is a bit rusty from living in the US for a long time. I didn't remember if esquisito was spelled with an s or x and didn't have time to look it up.
Cheers!
Please links to your work with it showing exqusite, better or at least as good skin tones as your C100 MKII, inquiring minds want to know! ;-) Everything out of the GH4, to my eye, has an Orange/Cyan pastel sort of look that I despise, I could never completely get rid of it no matter how the camera was set up. But I got rid of my GH-4 before V-Log hit so I am curious if shooting in V-Log kills that look and improves skin tones.
