RED doesn't specify wether it was the primary camera or not. So even if it was only used for VFX plates, in their mind, it is "Shot on RED".

Movies and TV shows I know are shot either entirely or almost entirely on RED:

House of Cards
Prometheus
The Hobbit trilogy
The Social Network
Gone Girl
Elysium
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
The Amazing Spiderman
Pirates of the Caribbean 4
The Book of Eli
Che
The Great Gatsby
Magic Mike
The Martian

That said, I think you're better off using a GH4 an spending the extra $15000 on a good cinematographer and sound mixer. Those two people will make a much, much bigger difference in the final look of your film than the camera choice.

the cinematography I can cover, but I won't even pretend to be a sound technician. Those guys really make the movie come alive.

In my first film, I didn't have the money to hire a sound tech, and it showed.
